Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Slabworks Epoxy Floors of Waxahachie website and any work you hire us to do. When you browse the site, request an estimate or schedule a job with us, you agree to these terms, so please read them before you do.

If you have a signed estimate or contract with us, that document controls wherever it differs from this page, because it describes your specific floor and job. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site, and call us so we can talk it through.

What we do

Slabworks is a flooring contractor in Waxahachie, TX. We install and repair concrete floor systems for homes and businesses in Waxahachie and the cities around it. That includes epoxy, polyaspartic, metallic and urethane cement coatings, polished and stained concrete, terrazzo, overlays, sealing, surface prep and coating removal.

The service descriptions on our home page and elsewhere on this site are general information. The exact work, materials, finish and areas for your job are the ones written on your estimate or contract, and nothing else is included unless we agree to it in writing. You can read more about our crew on our About page.

Estimates and pricing

We give estimates after looking at your floor in person, because the condition of the concrete, the square footage, the coating system you choose and any old coating that has to come off all change the price. An estimate is our offer for the work it describes, based on what we can see before the job starts.

Some conditions only show up once we start grinding, such as moisture coming up through the slab, hollow or weak concrete, deep cracks or an old coating that's harder to remove than it looked. When that happens, we'll stop, show you what we found and explain your options before doing any extra work. We won't charge for added work unless you approve it.

Estimates stay valid for the period written on them. After that, material costs may have changed, so we may need to update the price before scheduling.

Scheduling, access and cancellation

We'll set your start date together and give you an expected timeline for prep, coating and cure time. Dates can move because of weather, temperature, humidity, material delays or conditions found on site, and outdoor work like pool decks depends heavily on the weather. We'll tell you as soon as we know about a change.

You agree to give our crew access to the work area on the scheduled days, with the floor cleared of vehicles, furniture, stored items and anything else in the way, and with working power and water if the job needs them. If we arrive and can't start because the area isn't ready, we may need to reschedule.

Please stay off the new floor and keep vehicles off it for the full cure time we give you, because walking or parking on it early can mark or damage the finish. Damage from using the floor before it's cured isn't our responsibility.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know as early as you can. If we've already ordered materials for your job or started work, you may be responsible for those costs, as set out in your estimate or contract.

Payment

Your estimate or contract sets the amount due, any deposit and when each payment is due. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is complete.

If a payment is late, we may pause remaining work until the account is current. You're responsible for reasonable costs of collecting an unpaid balance, to the extent Texas law allows.

Warranties and what they don't cover

We stand behind our workmanship. If something isn't right with work we did, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right where the problem comes from our installation. Any written warranty for your job, and how long it lasts, will be on your estimate or contract. Coatings and materials also carry their makers' own warranties where the maker offers them.

Concrete is a natural material, so some things are outside anyone's control. Our warranty doesn't cover problems caused by moisture or vapor coming up through the slab, new cracks or movement in the concrete, settling of the ground under it, flooding or water damage, chemical spills, hot tires or heavy equipment beyond what the system is rated for, impact, misuse, poor cleaning or skipped maintenance, or work done by anyone else after us.

Colors and patterns can differ from samples, photos and other floors we've done, especially with metallic epoxy, stained concrete and polished concrete, because each slab takes the finish in its own way. Coated and polished floors can be slippery when wet or oily, and we'll talk with you about anti-slip options before we start.

Apart from any written warranty we give you, our work and this website are provided without other warranties, to the extent Texas law allows.

Limits on our liability

To the extent Texas law allows, our total liability for any claim about our work is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost business, lost use of a garage or shop, or the cost of storing items while the floor cures.

Nothing on this page limits any right you have that Texas law doesn't allow a contractor to limit.

The information on this website

We work to keep this site accurate, but it's general information about our trade and our services, not advice for your specific floor. Please confirm anything that matters to your decision with us directly before you rely on it.

The text, photos and design on this site belong to Slabworks or are used with permission. You may not copy them for commercial use without our written permission. Links to other websites are there for convenience, and we aren't responsible for their content.

If we have a disagreement

If you're unhappy with anything, call us first at (972) 903-8033 or reach us through our contact page. Most problems get settled by talking them through and looking at the floor together, so give us a chance to fix it.

If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. Any lawsuit will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Ellis County, Texas.

Governing law

These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version will always be on this page. Changes don't apply to a job already covered by a signed estimate or contract unless we both agree to them in writing.
